The Donald Trump administration is considering exempting tariffs on Chinese-made car seats, baby strollers, cribs, and other essential items for transporting children, said US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

It was Democratic Representative Ayanna Pressley who questioned Bessent at a House of Representatives Financial Services Committee hearing that over 3.5 million babies are born in the US each year, and the related cost of living is escalating as nearly all baby strollers are produced in China.
