Recent media reports suggest regulatory authorities may issue notice documents to strengthen regulation on photovoltaic output, Citi Research issued a research report saying. The broker believed that this move is in line with its expectation for supply-side reform, helping to alleviate excessive competition and boost domestic CPI and PPI. Although specific details have not been disclosed, it is reasonably expected that new measures will be introduced. Citi Research anticipated that supply-side reforms under anti-involution measures will benefit China's solar industry. Therefore, the broker rated major Chinese polysilicon manufacturers at Buy, including TONGWEI (600438.SH), GCL TECH (03800.HK), DAQO New Energy (DQ.US) and TEBA (600089.SH), predicting these companies to be the main beneficiaries of the policy, with target prices of RMB25/ $1.72/ US$37/ RMB18, respectively. Meanwhile, Citi Research kept ratings at Buy for inverter makers SUNGROW POWER (300274.SZ) and DEYE (605117.SH), with target prices of RMB160/ RMB78.2 each.
